Funeral for Columbus Grove Business Man to be Held Sunday
Columbus Grove, May 22 – Funeral services for John H. Hartman, furniture dealer and funeral director of Columbus Grove, will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Christian church. Interment will be at Truro cemetery.
Hartman died Friday afternoon, following a fight of ten days to recover from the effects of an attack of pneumonia. His one desire to live until his son, Ray, should return from Phoenix Ariz., where with his family he was spending the winter, was gratified, although it is doubtful if he recognized the son when he did reach here the night before he died.
For 32 years he was in business in Columbus Grove. He was associated with his two sons, Jay and ray, in business here. The firm also maintained a branch at Kalida.
He was a leading member of the Christian church, located but two doors from his home on S. Broadway.
Besides the sons, he is survived by the widow and four daughters. They are Mrs. Orlo Michael, of Lima, and Mrs. Charles Jones, Mrs. Russell Henderson and Mrs. Glen Jones, all of Columbus Grove.
