Notes - Mrs. Martha Schafer
Bluffton, June 28 – Mrs. Martha Schafer, 85, died at 12:20 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lewis Shellenbarger, Orangeo-tp, Hancock-co.
She was born Apr. 7, 1864, in Hancock-co. Her husband Henry P. Schafer, preceded her in death.
Survivors are two sons, Lewis Schafer, Defiance, and Ralph Napoleon; three daughters, Mrs. Elve Stuber, Ft. Wayne, Mrs. Viola Wagner, Continental, and Mrs. Lewis Shellenbarger, Hancock-co; one sister Mrs. Mary Morris, Route 2, Continental; one brother, Daniel Weller, Oakwood; 18 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
She was a member of Primitive Baptist church in Kalida. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the North Mt. Zion church in Continental. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at the home of Mrs. Thomas Wagner until burial.
