    • Catherin Schafer
      Continental – Mrs. Catherine Schafer,63, of Continental, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in a St. Petersburg, Fla., hospital. She suffered a heart attack a few hours after arriving at her winter home in Florida.
      Born March 17, 1898, in New Bavaria, she was the daughter of Nicholas and Margaret Schuller. She was married to William H. Schafer and he survives.
      Also surviving are a son, John Leland Schafer, Defiance: a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ellen Decious, San Francisco: a sister, Mrs. Irene Kramer, Lorain, and six grandchildren.
      Mrs. Schafer, a resident of Continental since 1922 was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church here. She was a member of the Garden Club and the Ohio Club of Florida.
      Services are at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance. Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m. Thursday.
