- Mrs. Alfred Morris
Mrs. Margaret Amanda Morris, wife of Alfred Morris and mother of C.A., Joe F. and Homer E. Morris, of this city, died at 2:20 a.m. today at her home, 308 1/2 Fifth street east, of carcinoma, after an illness extending over a period of several months.
Margaret Bellheimer was born Oct. 27, 1858, in Putnam county, Ohio, and often referred to the honor of having been born on the same day as Theodore Roosevelt. She was married to Mr. Morris on the farm home in Putnam county. Following the establishment in business here of their sons, they came to Waterloo in 1911.
Mrs. Morris was a member of Graves Memorial United Brethren church. She supported with her service and gifts every worthy object coming within her sphere of activities.
Aside from the three sons here, decedent is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Taylor, West Palm Beach, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Dora Walker, Washington, D.C., and a brother, Rev. Cyrus Bellheimer.
Services will be at First Presbyterian church Saturday at 10 a.m. Rev. E.W. Main will be assisted by Rev. J.R. Macartney in conducting the obsequies. Burial will be in Fairview. Friends may view the body at the O’Keefe & Towne mortuary.
