    • Mrs. Ida M. Morris Dies at Charter Oak
The death on Friday of Mrs. Ida M. Morris, Wife of Galenus Morris of Sunflower avenue, Charter Oak, following only a few days of illness, came as a surprise and shock to a wide circle of friends throughout the Covina valley. The deceased was 59 years of age and during her entire residence in this state, thirteen years, she had resided at the ranch home in Charter Oak.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 on Tuesday at the Presbyterian church of this city, which was filled with sorrowing friends of the family. The services were conducted by the Rev. Edward Williams, pastor of the church, with which the deceased had been affiliated during her residence in the valley. “Lead Kindly Light” was sung as a duet by Miss Coombs and Miss Jean Trapnell. The casket was covered by many beautiful floral tributes. The observances were under the direction of the Covina Funeral Parlors. Interment was made in Oakdale cemetery.
The deceased is survived by her husband and five children, three sons and two daughters, R.J. Morris and Mrs. C.V. Brooks of Minnesota, S.G. Morris of Glendora, Mrs. Sarah Cassey, and Paul Jennings Morris.
