Russell H Stamm 80, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles McGee of 604 10th Ave., Juniata, at 3,30 p.m. yesterday after several months illness. He was born in Boalsburg June 9, 1881, a son of John W. and Anna (Meyer) Stamm, and on Nov. 23, 1902, married Mollie Hoy, who died Jan. 3, 1950. Mr. Stamm was a retired employee of the Juniata silk mill and later of the Park Furniture Store, Juniata. Surviving are the daughter, four grandchildren,three great grandchildren, a brother and sister, Charles of Lemoyne and Miss Annetta of Altoona. A son, Foster died two years ago.He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ. Friends will be received at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, after 7 p.m. today.

STAMM—Services for Russell H. Stamm of 604 10th Ave,Juniata will be held at 2 pm friday at the Mauk and Yates Funeral Home Juniata, by the Rev. Robert A. Dilliard. Interment in Grandview Cemetery. Friends will bre received at the Mauk and Yates Funeral home after 7 pm today.

STAMM. – John William Stamm, a native of Centre county, died at his home in Altonna on Sunday morning. He had been in failing health for several years and last August fell and sustained a fractured hip which kept him confined to bed ever since.
He was born near Boalsburg, this county, on November 18th, 1864, hence was in his seventy-sixth year. He followed farming in Harris township until fifteen years ago when he sold out and moved to Altoona, where for some years past he had lived a retired life. In January, 1870, he married Miss Anna Myers, of Boalsburg, who preceded him to the grave. Surviving him, however, are the following children: Mrs. W. A. Lytle, Fred P. and Charles H. Stamm, of Mifflinburg; Mrs. W.J. Ishler, of Bellefonte; Ursinus W., of Aaronsburg; Russell H., of Altoona; Jacob M., Annette E. and Elsie M., at home. He also leaves one brother, C. J. Stamm of Eldorado.
Funeral services were held at his late home on Tuesday evening and on Wednesday the remains were taken to Boalsburg for intement.

Henry (Henry, Christopher, Gr. Meyer) owned the
old homestead near Boalsburg, a farm of great fertility.
He was a man of intelligence and was prominent in his
section ; a lover of music and a fine singer. He was a con-
sistent member of the German Reformed Church, to which
denomination his parents and all his brothers and sisters
belonged I believe. On account of his large stature he was
familiarly know as "big Henry Meyer." Henry was born
Sept. 30, 1810; died of paralysis Oct. 5, 1888. He had been
suffering for about a year. His wifes' maiden name was
Catharine Hoffer; she was born March 25, 1817; died June
19, 1878. Both are buried at Boalsburg.

Meyer) removed from Campbellstown, Pa., where he was born and raised, to Centre County, Pa., in 1823, locating near Boalsburg, where he purchased a large tract of land. He was a man of large stature, like his son "big Henry," it is said. Some of his descendants still live at the old homestead near Boalsburg. Henry was born in 1767; died April 19, 1844. His wife, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Hurst, was bom in 1779; died May 22, 1859.
