Looking for the parents of Philip Kreider, who was born in Lebanon County PA in 1803 and died in Penn Township, Centre County, PA on 07 Jan 1842. He is buried in Aaronsburg Reformed Cemetery. The “Commemorative biographical record of central Pennsylvania, including the counties of Centre, Clinton, Union and Snyder” has Philip’s parents as Jacob Kreider and Catherine Smith of Lebanon County. And that they reared a family of five children, Philip being the oldest. (I have no info about the other children). Philip’s father, Jacob Kreider, is not the same person as the Jacob Kreider buried in Aaronsburg Reformed Cemetery. The Aaronsburg Jacob is a son of Johannes Kreider, about whom a 2 volume book has been written. I'm looking for info about Catherine Smith and Jacob Kreider of Lebanon County.

Looking for the parents of Leah Bowman. Leah was born 03 Jan 1803 in Cornwall Township, Lebanon County, PA. She married Philip Kreider and by the 1850 census they had moved to Haines/Penn Twp., Centre County. We have her father's name as George Bowman. Leah died 4 Apr 1856 in Penn Twp, Centre Co and is buried next to her husband in Aaronsburg Reformed Cemetery.
