On 1 Nov 1675 John Garretsn was granted a patent for lands on Long Neck upon Staten Island. A survey of 80 acres on Long Neck was laid out for Jon Garrison in early 1676. Another survey for 161 acres laid out for John Garrats De Muff, was made in March 1686. He was named tax commissioner on Staten Island in 1681. On 14 March 1691 he was given power of attorney by his brother Jacob Garrottsone to sell land on Staten Island, and John sold it on 17 Aug 1692.

Mary died on March 4, 1945 at the Lock Haven, PA Hospital. She was 85 years, 4 months and 4 days old, widowed, and lived at 332 E Walnut Street. Mary was buried in the Dunnstown Cemetery on March 6th.

Laid To Rest.
Funeral services over the remains of the late William Markley were conducted in the First United Evanglical church Monday afternnon by Rev. C. W. Finkbinder, the pastor of that congregation. Messrs. John Dubler, Charles Schadt, William Philips and John Badey, employes of Allen Sterner’s cigar factory, where the deceased was formerly employed, and Alex Blesh and William G. Voss, acted as casket bearers. Interment was made in Dunnstown cemetery.
