      In the book "A History of Tama County, Iowa, Volume 2" an article written on their son, William C. Achenbach, references the following on page 596 & 601: His parents Jacob and Sabina (Moyer) Achenbach were life long farmers of Pennsylvania, where their thirteen children were born, seven of whom are still living as follows: Samuel, David, William M., Peter, Mrs. Emma Rote(Roth), Mrs. Carrie Farnstock(Fahnestock), and Joel. These children, with the exception of William M., reside in the Keystone state. [3]
