    • Margery was born January 7, 1845 ; died December 24, 1872. Margery and her two children, Willie and Eucie, had joined the large concourse of people who assembled in the Baptist Church, Newberry, Pa., to witness the Christmas exercises, Christmas eve, 1872. While the exercises were progressing, the floor of the church suddenly gave way. Willie and his mother were among the thirteen who were instantly killed, while Eucie escaped injury, not even receiving a scratch.
      The children were lying in the arms of their mother when the accident occurred. Margery was married to Duncan Campbell in 1864. They had their home at Newberry, Pa. In the spring following his wife's death, Mr. Campbell located in Kansas, where he still resides. [1]
