Occupation: Calvin was educated in public schools in Rebersburg, PA and was a teacher in the public schools there and of Centre County, PA, for several years. In 1899 he entered the service of the PA Railroad Co., as a telegraph operator and clerk at Milton PA. Also station Agent and telegraph operator for Erie RR in Hornell, NY. Worked for RR in Watsontown. Worked for a furniture co in Williamsport and the RR. 9Apr1910 purchased the general store of J.G. Snyder at Kreamer, PA. In 1907 he entered the U.S. Government service with the Interstate Commerce Commission at Washington, DC. Continuing in the service until 1917 when he entered the service of the New York Dock Co., Brooklyn, NY, as Assistant Auditor. In May 1919, entered the services of the National City Co., NY as general accountant and in March 1920 was employed as regional auditor of Erie RR Co., Hornell, NY. On 24Apr1922 entered the service of the US Government as an auditor with Bureau of the Internal Revenue, Washington DC, and on 15 June 1926 was transferred to the Interstate Commerce Commission as an examiner of accounts. Retired 30 June 1944. Places of residence: Rebersburg, Centre, PA; Selinsgrove, PA; Watsontown, PA; Milton, PA; Williamsport, PA; Kreamer, PA; New York City, NY(24 September 1914); Hornell, NY.
