The Morning Press, Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, Tuesday, January 30, 1923
Mrs. M.J. Shultz, a well known resident of Buckhorn, died at 10:30 o'clock Sunday night at the home of her sisters, Mrs. L.? L. Moore, at Buckhorn, after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Shultz was aged 73 years and 7 months and is survived by her sister, Mrs. Moore, at Buckhorn and two brothers, J.W. Moore, of Catawissa and C.H. Moore of Shamokin.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at ten o'clock at one home of Mrs. Moore and interment will be made in the New Columbia cemetery. - Mary Joanne More was the second wife of John C. Shultz. They married in 1890, after the death of his first wife who was also named Mary J. John, his first wife, and three of their children are buried in Jerseytown Cemetery.
