• Notes

  John came to New Lisbon, Ohio at age 10. Interested in medicine, he worked with Dr. Duffel and studied with Dr.Neitz. He married Julia Buchtel in Stark County and later came to Montgomery Township, Wood County. After two years, he moved to Tuscarawas County and stayed there until 1845 when he returned to Wood. In 1864, he moved to Noble County. John died from heart disease at the age of nearly 76. [1]
