Deceased Name: Janet F. Billings, 85, former store owner
LANCASTER -- Janet F. (Ebright) Billings, 85, of 120 Whitcomb Drive, a former store owner, died Thursday, May 15, at home after a long illness.
Her husband, Frederick Billings, died several years ago. She leaves three sons, Bruce Billings of Vermont, Greg Billings of Sterling and Neil Billings of Grafton; a daughter, Sue Anne Billings, with whom she lived; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Walter and Gordon Ebright, predeceased her. She was born in Lebanon, Pa., daughter of Ernest and Jennie (Snavely) Billings, and lived in Lancaster most of her life.
Mrs. Billings owned and operated Stowers Store in Clinton for many years with her husband, retiring in 1991.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. Burial will be in Eastwood Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 19, in the funeral home.
