    On February 22, 1996, Frank H. Lewis, died at his home in Frederick, Md., beloved husband of the late Miriam Grace Rhoads Lewis, uncle of Marian Titus, Of Lewes, DE, Suzanne Nichols, of Finksburg, Evelyn Ruhl of Millville, DE, Arthur L. Rhoads and John T. Rhoads, both of Baltimore.
    Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 26 at the Frederick Presbyterian Church, 115 West Second street, Frederick, with the Rev. Ginger Memmott, officiating. Private burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Visitation on Saturday from 6 to 8 P.M. and on Sunday from 2 to 4 P.M. Memorial donations to Miriam Lewis Memorial Fund, Frederick Presbyterian Church, 115 West Second street, Frederick Md. 21701.

    Josiah Henry Lewis
    Mr. Josiah Henry Lewis, a well-known citizen, died last night at 10:45 o’clock at his home, 115 west Fourth street, after a long illness, aged 77 years, 2 months and 9 days. Mr. Lewis was a native of Virginia and at the early age of 14 years began carrying mail from Leesburg to Harper’s Ferry. Afterwards he learned shoemaking, which he followed for many years. He was county constable for some years and later was agent for a large number of property-owners in this city. He was a member of the M.E. church and the Independent Fire company. He was twice married. He leaves a widow and one little son, Frank H. Lewis, and the following children of his first wife survive him: Maurice H. Lewis, Eaton, Md.; Geo. R. Lewis, this city; Charles E., Belleview, Pa.; Florence Katherine Lewis, Baltimore, and Mrs. Robert Winston, New York. Three brothers, John Lewis, Leesburg, Va.; Samuel Lewis, Hamilton, Va.; George T. Lewis, this city and three sisters, Mrs. Anderson Beach, Purcelville, Va.; Mrs. Mary Grey, Silver Springs, Md. and Miss Katherine Lewis, This city, also survive him. The funeral will take place on Thursday morning at 10:30 o’clock. The services will be held at the house and the interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Thomas P. Rice has charge of the funeral.

    Mrs. IDA CATHERINE BUXTON, wife of Aldridge I. Buxton, died at her home, Fairview Avenue, this morning, after an illness of four months, aged 77 years. She was a daughter of the late Lewis Abraham and Mary Elizabeth Ramsburg Hedges.

    She was a member of Grace Evangelical and Reformed Church, this city, and the Ladies Guild of the Utica Reformed Church. For many years she was the rent agent for property owners in Frederick.

    Surviving are her husband; one son, Frank H. Lewis, this city, by a former marriage to the late J. Henry Lewis; one brother, Clinton E. Hedges, Lewistown.

    Services were held at the M.R. Etchison and Son funeral home; interment in Utica Cemetery.

    LEWIS ABRAM HEDGES died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ida Buxton, 131 West Fourth street, this city, on Sunday night. He had been in ill health for some years, but his death came unexpectedly. He was aged 88 years.

    He leaves one son, Clinton Hedges, Lewistown; and one daughter, Mrs. Buxton, with whom he resided; and one grandson, Frank H. Lewis.

    Services were held at the Utica church; interment in the cemetery adjoining; M.L. Creager and Son were the funeral directors.

    Mrs. MARY HEDGES, wife of Mr. Abraham Hedges, died at her home near Lewistown last night of a complication of diseases, aged about 60 years.

    She is survived by her husband and one son, Mr. Clinton E. Hedges, Harmony Grove; and one daughter, Mrs. J.H. Lewis, this city. She is also survived by five sisters and two brothers: Mrs. J.H. Baer, Utica Mills; Mrs. Lewis Barrick, Walkersville; Mrs. Edward Feaga, Yellow Springs; Mrs. Joseph Feaga, Yellow Springs and Mrs. Charles Miller, of this city; Mr. Dennis C. Ramsburg, Harmony Grove; and Mr. William H. Ramsburg, this city.

    The funeral will take place on Saturday with services at the Utica Church and interment in the cemetery adjoining.
