    Born Aug. 26, 1932, he was a son of the late Mike Talmadge and Kathryne Overstreet Moody. He was a custodian at Tates Creek High School and former employee of Darling and Co. He was a past master of Masonic Lodge No.61.
    Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Bryant Moody of Nicholasville; a son, Robert D. Moody; a daughter, Laura Kathryne Clark; six stepchildren, Pam Coulter, Marylin Elmore, Geraldine Royalty, Millard Warren, Kathy Bodner and Michael Warren; a sister, Jane Ashcraft; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Betts and Watts Funeral Home by the Rev. Tim Noel. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
    Pallbearers will be Michael and Jean Ashcraft, Michael Warren, Ricky Elmore, Brian Wade and Scott Blackburn. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Sears, Clyde Hudson, Charles Eades, Harry Bodner, Kevil Chinn, Delmer Royalty and George Moody.
    Visitation is 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Today, and noon-2 p.m. Monday.
    Memorials may go to the Jessamine County Hospice.

    He was a native of Jessamine County and a farmer.
    Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathryne Overstreet Moody; a daughter, Mrs. Jean Ashcraft, Nicholasville; a son, Mike Moody, Jr., Nicholasville; two sister, Mrs. Nela Blankenship and Mrs. John Davis, Lexington and three grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Betts and West Funeral Home by the Rev. W.J. Arvin and the Rev. Billy C. Moody.
    Burial was in the Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, Jessamine County.
    Bearers were Ray, George and Hugh Moody, Fred Corman, William Reynolds and Jack Davis.

    Nicholasville, Ky., March 3, - George W. Moody, 70, died at his home in the Bethel neighborhood this afternoon following a short illness.
    He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Moody; two daughters and three sons, Mrs. Joe Blankenship, Mrs. John Davis, Edgar, john and Mike Moody, all of Jessamine county; two sisters, Mrs. S.E. Harris and Mrs. Blanch Kissick.
    Funeral services will be held at the residence Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. R.L. Badgett. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harrison Duncan, W.W. Overstreet, Ollie Corman, E. and L.S. Cassity and L.B. Hagerdorn.

    He served as tax commissioner from 1917 to 1928.
    Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Clark Alexander, Lexington; and Mrs. Mike Moody, Jessamine County; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
    Rev. W.J. Arvin officiated and burial was in the Maple Grove cemetery.

    Mrs. Overstreet, wife of W.W. Overstreet, former Jessamine county tax commissioner, was a daughter of Thomas J. Caywood and the late Catherine Bently Caywood and was a native of Fleming county.
    Besides her husband and father, Mrs. Overstreet is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mike Moody and Mrs. Clark Alexander, of Lexington; six brothers, Thomas, Charles, Harry and C.B. Caywood, Jessamine county, Logan Caywood, Hartford, Conn., and James Caywood, Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Ogden, Nicholasville, and Mrs. Howard Stotls, Lexington.

    Mechanicsburg, O., Aug. 20. – Typhoid fever is raging in epidemic form at Plumwood, nine miles east of here. About 20 cases are reported.

    Peculiar – When there was so much typhoid fever in town last year it was remarked as a strange fact that all of the cases were those of residents of the south side of the thoroughfares Main, Sudduth and High streets. This year all of the numerous cases are situated on the north side of the same streets.
