    William Waymon Hill, 76, of 1401 Myra, died Thursday at 10:05 am at Community Memorial Hospital, shortly after he was admitted. He had been ill for some time.

    Born in Cooper, Ky., March 4, 1897, he was the son of Lewis Smiley and Mary Elizabeth Dishman Hill. He married the former Bessie Ellen Kissick, and had lived in the Moberly area and in Moberly for the past 44 years.

    He was a retired farmer and strip mine worker. His last employment was with the City of Moberly in the sanitation department. He had been retired 16 years. Mr. Hill was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and a veteran of World War I.

    Surviving are the wife, Bessie, of the home; sons, Virgil, Moberly; Wylie, Indianapolis, Ind; William Jr., Metropolis, Ill; daughters, Mrs. Walter (Dorothy) Elliot, Moberly; Mrs. Billy Gene Young, Huntsville; Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Collier, Springfield, Mo; Miss Mary Hill, Columbia, Mo; sisters, Mrs. Fred Lane, Burnside, Ky; Mrs. Adell Hill, Tateville, Ky; Mrs. Linda Winchester, Indianapolis; Mrs. Bonnie Blevins, Hazard, Ky; brothers, Ike, Springfield, Ill; Wylie, Mexico; Walter, Huntsville; Dillard, Laramie, Wyo., and 13 grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.

    Funeral services will be at 2 pm Saturday at the Cater Funeral Home, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul Grimes of Immanuel Baptist Church and Rev. D.L. Scott of the First Baptist Church in Huntsville. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday.

    Lewis Smiley Hill of Huntsville Dies At the Age of 89
    Lewis Smiley Hill, 89, of Huntsville died at 7:30 this morning in Pleasant View Rest Home, Huntsville, where he had been the past five months.
    A native of Kentucky, he had lived in Missouri 28 years.
    Mr. Hill is survived by 11 children, Dave and Walter Hill of Huntsville, Waymond Hill, Jacksonville, Wylie Hill, Mexico, Dillard Hill of Laramie, Wyo., George and James Hill, Cooper, Ky., Mrs. Elmer Winchester, Indianapolis, Mrs. Fred Lane, Burnside, Ky., Mrs. Tom Hill, Tateville, Ky., and Mrs. John Blevins, Bay Ridge, Ky.; and 43 grandchildren. Mrs. Hill died in 1918.
    The body is in Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville. Burial will be in Huntsville but other funeral arrangements are not yet made.

    Mrs. Mary Kissick Hill
    New Castle – Mrs. Mary B. Kissick Hill, 83 years old, died Tuesday following a brief illness. A native of Farmers Ky., she had resided in New Castle for 36 years.
    Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. John Selvy, Mrs. Emma Akers, Mrs. Marshall Collier, all of New Castle, and Mrs. Waymon Hill of Jacksonville, Mo.; four sons, Stanly and Cash Kissick of New Castle, Arthur Kissick of Hillsboro and Simon Kissick of Richmond, and 32 grandchildren.
    Funeral services for Mrs. Hill were held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Pentecostal church with Rev. Kelley and Rev. Bibbs officiating. Burial was in the South Mound cemetery.

    Typhoid Epidemic
    Mechanicsburg, O., Aug. 20. – Typhoid fever is raging in epidemic form at Plumwood, nine miles east of here. About 20 cases are reported.

    Peculiar – When there was so much typhoid fever in town last year it was remarked as a strange fact that all of the cases were those of residents of the south side of the thoroughfares Main, Sudduth and High streets. This year all of the numerous cases are situated on the north side of the same streets.
