Estelle M. Jones (nee Manning), of Merrillville, formerly of Glen Park, passed away Tuesday January 4, 2005. Survived by two daughters, Rhoda (Don) Wilson of Merrillville, Pauline (Dick) Epps of Glen Ellyn, IL, nine grandchildren, Paul (Gloria) Butler of Highland, Philip (Kim) Butler of Valparaiso, Ellen Santos of Portage, Grant (Robin) Butler of San Diego, CA, Donna Morrison of Gary, Rebecca (Chris) Clinch of Barrington, NH, Suzanne (Thomas) Wong of North Brunswick, NJ, Sara (Emmanuel) Klopfenstein of France, Michael (Shaunda) Soverly of Tampa, FL; two step-grandchildren, Terri O'Brien of Indianapolis, Todd (Gwen) Wilson of Rantoul, IL; 24 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband John Paul Jones, two daughters, Ruth Higgins, Judy Soverly.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10am January 8, at the Kuiper Funeral Home with Rev. Grant Butler and Dr. Richard Epps officiating, burial at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks South of Ridge Rd.), Highland.
Mrs. Jones was a member of the New Hope Church of God in Valparaiso where she served as an organist for several years, she and her husband John Paul pastored a local Church of God for many years. She was a retired book keeper with over thirty years of service.
