    Edna Million Brooks passed away peacefully on the morning of June 1st, 2016 in Lexington, Kentucky at the age of 91. She had a long struggle with Alzheimer’s, but she remembered us all til the end. Edna is survived by her 2 daughters, Brenda Stamper (Gary), Joy Neal (Gayle). Her 3 grand-daughters, Tracey Richardson (Ernie), Ashley Stamper (Jason), and April Matonich (Todd) and 1 great-granddaughter, Abigayle Matonich. Her sisters, Beulah Kelly (Wayne) and Blanch Merryman. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Brooks, Jr. (2009) and her parents, Ernest Morton and Ethel Gardner Million, also 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Edna was born on March 9, 1925 in Mount Carmel, KY (Fleming County) attended Woodford Co High School. She married Clayton Brooks, Jr. on November 6th, 1946 and later moved to Lexington, KY. Edna enjoyed spending time with all her family. Her and Clayton enjoyed Square dancing with the Kentucky Hoe-downers, and clogging where they taught classes for the Lexington Parks and Recreation group and even formed a clogging team called the Kentucky Belles where they traveled all over performing for many audiences. She enjoyed camping at the Kentucky Horse Park in the summers as well as other campgrounds across the state of Kentucky. Her and Clayton went on numerous Shockey Tours across the United States seeing many sights. They also spend their winter months in Ormond Beach, FL after Clayton retired. She enjoyed the beach and sunshine. Edna was a member of North View Baptist Church in Lexington, KY. Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, Jessamine County, Kentucky.

    Versailles - Ernest M. Million, 77, died at 8 a.m. Monday in his home on Cleveland Avenue after a short illness. He was a native of Fleming County, a retired farmer and a member of the Versailles Baptist Church.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Belle Eaves Million; seven daughters, Mrs. John Haynes, Mrs. Eugene Haynes, Mrs. James brooks, Mrs. Clayton Brooks Jr., Mrs. Elmer Merryman and Mrs. Stanley Fantley Gilkison, all of Lexington, and Mrs. Wayne Kelley, Owenton; three sons, William and Harold Million, Mercer County, and Douglas Million, Lexington; three sisters, Mrs. Willie Sparks, Mrs. Kenneth Maddox and Mrs. Russell Maddox, Fleming County; a brother, James Million, Fleming County, three stepdaughters, Mrs. Lindsey Shackleford, Harrodsburg; Mrs. Lewis Philpot, Paris, and Mrs. Robert Brown, Lexington; two stepsons, Stanley and Leslie Wiley, Lexington; 40 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
    Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Duell-Clark Funeral Chapel by the Rev. John W. Kruschwitz. Burial will be in the Versailles Cemetery. The body is at the funeral chapel.

    Mrs. Ethel Gardner Million, 56, wife of Ernest M. Million, died at noon yesterday at her home on the Armstrong Mill road after an illness of several months.
    She was born July 21, 1892, in Fleming county, and was a daughter of the late Charley and Nannie Wallingford Gardner, She had been a resident of Lexington and Fayette county for 25 years, and was a member of the South Elkhorn Baptist church.
    Besides her husband, she is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. John Haynes, Mrs. Eugene Haynes, Mrs. James Brooks, Mrs. Clayton Brooks and Miss Beulah Million, Fayette county, and Mrs. Fantley Gilkison and Mrs. Elmer Merryman, Woodford county; three sons, William Million, Mercer county, and Douglas and Harold Million, Fayette county; a sister, Mrs. Garcie Wikoff, Fayette county; two brothers, Thomas and Smith Gardner, Fleming county, and 27 grandchildren.
    The body was removed to Kerr Brothers funeral home and later returned to the residence.
    Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the South Elkhorn Baptist church, the Rev. Louis W. Arnold and the Rev. Henry Downing officiating. Burial will be in the Versailles cemetery. Casket bearers will be nephews of Mrs. Million.

    Flemingsburg, Ky., June 4- William Robert Million, 87, Fleming county farmer, died at 5:15 p.m. today after an illness of two years at his resident at Mt. Carmel. A native of rowan county, he was a son of the late James Lake and Almair Gilkison Million and was a member of the Wallingford Methodist church.
    Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Kirk Million; four daughters, Mrs. W.T. Sparks, Flemingsburg; Mrs. Paul Carpenter and Mrs. Russell Maddox, both of Fleming county, and Mrs. Kenneth Maddox, Covington; three sons, Ernest Million, Lexington; Aubrey Million, Fleming county, and James Million of Laurens, S.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Grover Bishop, Lexington; Mrs. Thomas Kirk, Cincinnati, and Mrs. William Kirk, Lexington; 43 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. (standard time) Wednesday at the Mt. Carmel Methodist church by the Rev. Earl Adamson. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel cemetery. The body is at the residence.
