    Saul S. Lipkind
    Saul S. Lipkind, retired actuary for Blue Cross of Western Pennsylvania, died in Suburban General Hospital today.
    Mr. Lipkind, of 1137 Onondago St., was employed by the Reliance Insurance Co. for 22 years. He joined Blue Cross in 1952 and was an actuarial accountant since his retirement in 1968.
    Mr. Lipkind was graduated from Schenley High School in 1921 and Yale University in 1926.
    He became an associate of the Society of Actuaries in 1937, was a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a staff sergeant in the Army for three years during World War II.
    Surviving are his widow, Ditta; his mother, Mrs. Rebecca E. Lipkind; and two sisters, Anne Lipkind and Mrs. Sadie True, both of Pittsburgh.
    Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. on April 29 at the Unitarian Church, 416 West North Ave., North Side. The family suggests memorial contributions to charity.

    Saul S. Lipkind, retired actuary for Blue Cross of Western Pennsylvania, died yesterday (April 20) in Suburban General Hospital, Bellevue.
    Mr. Lipkind, of 1137 Onondago St., Swisshelm Park, joined Blue Cross in 1952 after 22 years with Reliance Insurance Co.
    He was a graduate of Schenley High School and Yale University After his retirement from Blue Cross, he served as an acturial consultant.
    He was a staff sergeant in the Army during World War II, serving in Europe. Mr. Lipkind was an associate of the Society of Actuaries and member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
    Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ditta Lipkind; his mother, Mrs. Rebecca E. Lipkind; and two sisters, Anne Lipkind and Mrs. Sadie True.
    Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m., April 29 at the Unitarian Allegheny Center, 416 West North Ave., Northside.
    He has requested that his body be donated in medical research and this accounts for the delay in holding services.
