    Mrs. Herndon J. Evans, 93, Lexington, formerly of Louisville, died Monday at Jefferson Place.
    She was the former Mary Elizabeth Downing and a member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington.
    Survivors: a daughter, Mrs. Baylor Landrum Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Fred B. Tetzel; and three grandchildren.
    Graveside service: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation: the Landrum residence, Fairway Lane, 4-6 p.m. Tuesday. Arrangements: Pearson’s.
