    Streator Youth Dies In Action During Allied Offensive August 25.
    Another name was added to Streators' toll of dead in World War II, with the receipt of a telegram by Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Neblock, 811 South Vermillion street, from the War Department to the effect their youngest son, Pfc. Edward Neblock, 20, was killed in action August 25, in Italy.
    There were no details beyond the mere mention that he had died in action on the date in question.
    Pfc. Neblock had been overseas a little more than a month at the time, leaving here early in June to land in Africa, and subsequently participated in the Allied offensive on the Italian front.
    His last letter home was about three weeks ago, written, it is believed, only a few days before he fell in battl.e
    Before entering the service February 15, Pfc. Neblock was employed by the Owens Illinois Glass Company. He had attended the Streator Township high school, leaving in his sophomore year to enter the employe of Owens Illinois.
    He is survived by his parents and two brothers, William Neblock of Idaho, and Robert, at home.

    Lifelong Local Resident Succumbs After Illness of Three Weeks
    Mrs. Mary Ellen Neblock, 63, a lifelong resident of Streator, died at 10:15 a.m. today at St. Mary’s hospital, after an illness of three weeks. She resided at 811 South Monroe Street.
    Surviving are her husband, John Neblock, to whom she was married July 26, 1917, in Streator, and two sons, Robert and William Neblock of this city. A son, Edward, was killed in Italy in World War II.
    Also surviving are a brother, Edward Barnwell, and two sisters, Mrs. Frances Stewart and Catherine Bryant of Streator. Two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Durham and Mrs. Henrietta Rush, preceded her in death.
    The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Barnwell, she was born in Streator Dec. 25, 1890, and it was here she spent her entire life. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception church and the Altar Society.
    Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Solon funeral home, and at 9 at the Immaculate Conception church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the rosary will be said at 8 o’clock the same evening.

    Milton T. Neblock, 74, a resident of Danville most of his life, died away at the home of his son George C. Neblock, 445 Junction avenue, at 1 o'clock Monday morning. Death resulted from a paralytic stroke. Neblock was born Jan. 9, 1853. He is survived by three sons, George C. Neblock, at whose home he died, Jesse A. Neblock, of Streeter, Ill., and Albert, T. Neblock, of Kankakee, Ill., a half step-son, Alonzo Thompson, of Danville, and four sisters, Mrs. Harry Rothenberger, of Danville, Mrs. Ed. McLean, of Bismarck, Mrs. Segal Hall, of Danville, and Mrs. Ben Garber, of San Francisco, Calif. The body was removed to the Callahan & Callahan funeral home.     MRS. BARNWELL WIDELY KNOWN RESIDENT, DIES
    Highly Respected Woman Passes Away At Home---Funeral Tuesday.

    Mrs. Ellen Barnwell, resident of this city for the past 42 years, died at her home, 811 South Vermillion street, at 10:50 o'clock, Saturday evening. Suffering from heart trouble for many years, Mrs. Barnwell had apparently been in good health until a few days before her death when her condition became serous. Her husband and children were at her bedside when she passed away.

    In this city where she had spent her life, she was widely known for her charitable nature and unselfish interests. As a mother, she lived the lives of her children and gave them every care and kindness humanly possible. Her innumerable friends will join in their bereavement.

    Born In Flanagan.
    As the daughter of John and Katherine Godfrey, she was born May 20, 1849 in Flanagan, Ill. It was in Streator, March 22, 1889 that she was united in marriage with William Barnwell. They were the parents of six children, one, Mrs. Agnes Durham, of Streator, who preceded her mother in death 10 months ago. Besides her husband she leaves five children, Mrs. Mary Neblock, Mrs. Francis Stewart, and Mrs. Catherine Bryant of Streator, Mrs. Henrietta Russ, and Edward Barnwell of Ottawa. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Barnwell, and Mrs. Catherine Wright of Streator.

    Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning from the home, 811 South Vermillion street, at 8:30 and 9 o'clock from the Immaculate Conception church. Rev. W. A. Courtney, pastor at the Budd church at Sunbury will officiate at the services. Interment will be made in the St. Mary's cemetery.
