    He was a retired Chrysler Corp. employe and attended the Church of the Bible Covenant.
    Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary Bell, Mrs. Alice Marie Shelton and Mrs. Juanita Hacker, New Castle; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Selvy and Mrs. Pearl Collier, New Castle, and Mrs. Bessie Hill, Joplin, Mo., and two brother, Aruthur, New Castle, and Kash, Greensboro.

    New Castle - Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the South Side Nazarene Church, 2801 S. 14th St., for Mrs. Yantis Kissick, 61, 1710 Irvin St., who died late Wednesday afternoon as the result of a fall down the basement stairs at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Walter Bell, 1531 A. Ave. Burial will be in Southmound Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Couden Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Friday. The coroner's office was holding an inquest to determine the cause of death. The First Aid Unit was called but was unable to revive Mrs. Kissick.
    Mrs. Kissick had been a resident of New Castle 35 years, coming here from Morehead, Ky.
    Survivors include her husband, Stanley Kissick; three daughters, Mrs. Walter Bell, Mrs. Claude Shelton and Mrs. Ervin Hacker, all of New Castle; a brother, Charles Ramey, near New Castle; three sisters, Mrs. Rosa McGaha, Mrs. Peach Purvis and Mrs. Frances Huffman, all of New Castle; and 13 grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Meanwhile, her second husband, Lewis S. Hill is listed as father, widower in the household of his youngest son Walter Hill, in Chariton, Randolph County, Missouri.


    Mrs. Mary Kissick Hill
    New Castle – Mrs. Mary B. Kissick Hill, 83 years old, died Tuesday following a brief illness. A native of Farmers Ky., she had resided in New Castle for 36 years.
    Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. John Selvy, Mrs. Emma Akers, Mrs. Marshall Collier, all of New Castle, and Mrs. Waymon Hill of Jacksonville, Mo.; four sons, Stanly and Cash Kissick of New Castle, Arthur Kissick of Hillsboro and Simon Kissick of Richmond, and 32 grandchildren.
    Funeral services for Mrs. Hill were held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Pentecostal church with Rev. Kelley and Rev. Bibbs officiating. Burial was in the South Mound cemetery.

She was the youngest daughter of the late Henry Kissick, who died only three weeks before the summons came for Bekah to come up higher. “My soul longeth, yea even panteth, for the courts of the Lords.” She was a member of the Church of Christ and will be sadly missed at our meetings.     Typhoid Epidemic
    Mechanicsburg, O., Aug. 20. – Typhoid fever is raging in epidemic form at Plumwood, nine miles east of here. About 20 cases are reported.

    Peculiar – When there was so much typhoid fever in town last year it was remarked as a strange fact that all of the cases were those of residents of the south side of the thoroughfares Main, Sudduth and High streets. This year all of the numerous cases are situated on the north side of the same streets.
