Moody was an alumnus of both Asbury College and Seminary, and he retired from the United Methodist Church after more than 30 years in ministry. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anne Helphinstine Moody, two sons, William C. (Suza) Moody of Owingsville and Robert Tipton of Wilmore, two granddaughters, Elisha Moody and Brittany (Jon) Dennis, two great-grandchildren, Ian and Mary Elizabeth, two sisters, Thelma Bradshaw of Lexington and Stella Sweeney of TX and other family members. Services will be 11am Tue at Nicholasville United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Snyder and Rev. Bill Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Mon from 5-8pm at Betts & West Funeral Home. Bearers will be Gordon, Mark and Todd Helphinstine, Jon Dennis, P.L. Clem, Tommy Orme, Carl Bradshaw Jr, and Freddy Bradshaw. Honorary bearers will be Ian Moody and members of the Wise Sunday School Class. Contributions are suggested to the Manna Ministry of the Nicholasville United Methodist Church.

    Wilmore - Harvey Edgar Moody, 74, a retired mail carrier, died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospital Lexington, where he was admitted Friday night. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Ray E. Miller American Legion Post, the 40 & 9 and the VFW. He was a member of the Christian Church.
    Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Carl Bradshaw, Lexington, and Mrs. R.L. Sweeny, Lake Jackson, Texas; four sons, the Rev. W.C. Moody, Owingsville; Hugh M. and George Moody, Wilmore and L.B. Moody, Vandenburg Air Base, California; two sisters, Mrs. Nela Blankenship and Mrs. Betty Davis, Lexington; a brother, Mike Moody, Jessamine County and 17 grandchildren.
    The body is at the Guyn, Kurtz and Hager Funeral Home.

    Wilmore, Ky., Oct. 11. – Mrs. Blanche Moody, 38, died at her home here this morning following an illness of two months. Besides her husband, Edgar Moody, mail carrier here, she is survived by two daughters, Misses Thelma and Stella Moody; five sons, Harvey, George, Hugh, Bill and L.B. Moody; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Hagerdorn; and two brothers, L.D. Hagerdorn, Jr., and James Hagerdorn.
    Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church here Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.

    Nicholasville, Ky., March 3, - George W. Moody, 70, died at his home in the Bethel neighborhood this afternoon following a short illness.
    He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Moody; two daughters and three sons, Mrs. Joe Blankenship, Mrs. John Davis, Edgar, john and Mike Moody, all of Jessamine county; two sisters, Mrs. S.E. Harris and Mrs. Blanch Kissick.
    Funeral services will be held at the residence Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. R.L. Badgett. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harrison Duncan, W.W. Overstreet, Ollie Corman, E. and L.S. Cassity and L.B. Hagerdorn.

    Survivors are two sons, Lambert B. Hagedorn Jr., Lexington Route 3, and James M. Hagedorn, Wilmore, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Guyn-Kurtz and Hager Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Snell. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be Ray, Hugh and George Moody, J.B. and Tom Hagedorn and Harold Russell. The body is at the funeral home.

    Typhoid Epidemic
    Mechanicsburg, O., Aug. 20. – Typhoid fever is raging in epidemic form at Plumwood, nine miles east of here. About 20 cases are reported.

    Peculiar – When there was so much typhoid fever in town last year it was remarked as a strange fact that all of the cases were those of residents of the south side of the thoroughfares Main, Sudduth and High streets. This year all of the numerous cases are situated on the north side of the same streets.
