George C. Morgan and Mrs. Ida Hedges, Both of Weir City, Wedded Last Night by Rev. Newlin.
Last night at 8 o’clock, at the parlors of the Tremont hotel, George C. Morgan and Mrs. Ida Hedges, both of Weir City, were united in marriage by Rev. O.A. Newlin, pastor of the Church of God. The couple arrived in this city yesterday and went to the home of Mr. Smallwood, the well known fruit grower east of the city. They were driven to the Tremont early last night, where in the presence of a few relatives, they were made man and wife. Mr. Morgan is a well known business man of Weir City, where he has resided for years. He is about 40 years old, while the bride is 28. The newly wedded couple spent the day at the Smallwood home and will return to Weir City tonight, where they will take up their residence.

Mrs. Lytle, who died Saturday at her home, was a general administrator for the credit union at Lilly four years. She retired in 1945. Before that she was a bookkeeper 10 years for Indianapolis Athletic Club. She was a member of East 10th Street United Methodist Church and Queen Esther Chapter of Eastern Star. Survivors – husband Ralph E. Lytle; son Charles E. Lytle; daughter Shirley Ann Trotter, brother David hedges; sisters Margaret Duvall, Catherine Bradley; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

7168 Martha Ellen Newland was born Feb. 9, 1865, and died April 11 1916 aged 51 years 2 months and 2 days. She was married to G.W. Tallman Nov. 18, 1883. To this union was born 10 children. Three preceded her in death. Those living are Maurice, Harlie and Junior Tallman. Mrs. Leslie Bradwell, Goldie, Mary and Minnie Tallman. She united with the Christian church at Daroy in Feb. 1888 and lived a consistent christian until death. She left an aged father and mother of Marion, Okla., one sister and four brothers: Mrs. T.R. Moorhead of Lancaster, Mo., L.M. Newland of Oklahoma City, J.D. Newland of Moulton, Ia., W.E. Newland of Norman, Okla., and J.E. Newland of Marion, Okla., besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. The funeral was conducted by Elder F.A. Hedges at Darby April 13, 1916, at w:30 p.m. where the remains were laid to rest.

Martha Imogene Garrett Smith, 88 of Moberly, MO went to be with our Lord on March 15, 2013. Martha loved her family and always looked forward to visits from her sons and grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth E. Smith; son, Kenneth M. Smith and siblings. Martha is survived by her sons: Billy Smith, Lloyd Smith, Terry Smith, Ralph Smith; one daughter, Carolyn Van De Poel; three daughter-in-laws; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private family graveside service will be conducted on Monday, March 18, 2013 with Pastor Vic Comstock officiating. Million Taylor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. 7170 Martha Rodgers O'Connell, 99, of Danville, Illinois, passed away at 7:50 A. M. Saturday October 23, 2021 at Colonial Manor in Danville.

She was born September 4, 1922 in Mound Township, Warren County, (Covington), Indiana, the daughter of Stanley and Mae Allison Rodgers.

She was a graduate of Foster Elementary and Covington High Schools and attended Indiana State University. Martha was a retired legal secretary.

She was united in marriage with LaMoyne O'Connell June 21, 1949, at Sweeney Chapel, Butler University Campus, Indianapolis, Indiana. He passed away May 6, 1998.

Martha is survived by two nieces, Linda Cotton, and Kelly Baechle; three nephews, Michael Rodgers, Stanley Rodgers and Jason O'Connell; sister-in-law, Betty O'Connell and several cousins and loving friends, who made her life more joyful.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, Gene Rodgers, Howard Rodgers and Herbert Rodgers; a niece, Mary Ann Rodgers Wesley; a nephew, Howard Rodgers, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Viola White Rodgers and Freda Baun Rodgers and brother-in-law, Dean O'Connell.

In obedience to the command and imitation of the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, Martha was baptized on November 25, 1945 at Covington, Indiana by O. J. Thomas, minister of First Church of Christ. She was also a member of the former Holiday Hills Free Methodist Church in Danville, Illinois.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville, Illinois.

Clewiston - Martin Hilton Peers Jr., 66, of 343 East Ventura Ave., Clewiston, died Friday in a West Palm Beach hospital.
He was a native of Fort Myers, a resident of Clewiston for the past 32 years. He was retired from the city of Clewiston Water Dept. where he was employed for 25 years; member of the First Methodist Church of Clewiston.
Survivors include his wife, Marie of Clewiston; two daughters, Suzanne Moore of Fitzgerald, Ga. and Karen Anundrud of St. Petersburg and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pattison Funeral Home Chapel, Clewiston with the Rev. Bernard A. Browne officiating. Interment will be at Ridgeland Cemetery in Clewiston. Friends may call at Pattison Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Pattison Funeral Home in Clewiston in charge of funeral arrangements.

Flemingsburg – Martin Luther Gilkison, 87, died at 7:04 p.m. Saturday at Hayswood Hospital, Maysville after a long illness. He was a farmer and landowner near Mt. Carmel. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church.
Survivors are a son, Fantley Gilkison, Lexington; five daughters, Mrs. Ivy Fearin, and Mrs. Lona Tucker, Wallingford; Mrs. Hazel Humphries, Ewing, and Mrs. Eunice Strode and Mrs. Verona Bishop, Maysville; two brothers, F.E. Gilkison, Wallingford, and Ambrose Gilkison, Versailles; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Boone Funeral Home by the Rev. W.T. Sparks and the Rev. Sanford Doyle. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Grandsons will be bearers. The body is at the funeral home.

Winnsboro – Services for Martin McCurdy Cassity, 74, Scroggins, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday in Beaty Funeral Home chapel, Winnsboro, with the Rev. Joe Bass officiating.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. in Okmulgee Cemetery, Okmulgee, Okla.
Mr. Cassity died Sunday in a Dallas hospital.
He was born Nov. 18, 1914, in Okmulgee and attended the University of Oklahoma School of Journalism, serving as city editor of the Blackwell Tribune from 1938-40.
He served as a cargo pilot during World War II and also was involved in the oil business, working for his father-in-law, the late oil pioneer Roy M. Johnson.
Mr. Cassity was postmaster of Ardmore, Okla., from 1956 t0 1968, and was promoted to postal supervisor in Dallas prior to his retirement in 1974.
He lived in Scroggins 15 years.
Mr. Cassity was a member of the Christian Science Church and of Rotary Club in Ardmore and Mount Vernon and was a 32nd-degree Mason.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June Johnson Cassity, in 1987.
Survivors include four sons, Martin Cassity Jr., Ayer, Mass., Edward Cassity, Glenwood, Md., and George and Cassity and Bill Cassity, both of Dallas; a brother Galen Cassity, Tempe, Ariz.; a sister, Georgia Felt, St. Louis, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Cashman, Wesley Cassity, E.L. Evans, Alton Green, Andy Morrison and Keith Tolbert.
Honorary pallbearers will be Daryl Bishop, Red Benton and Travis Henry.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

7174 Marvin E. Purvis, 68, of Camden, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, at Dayton Heart Hospital. He was born May 25, 1933, in Morehead, Ky., to Hobart and Minnie Moody Purvis. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was an operator at Jefferson-Smurfit for more than 40 years until his retirement and was a farmer most of his life. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Ruby Purvis; one son, Marvin Purvis II of Middletown; five daughters, Judy Purvis and Marlena Purvis, both of Middletown, Linda Dearth of Trenton, Pamela Lawson of Kingwood, Texas, and Shirley Purvis of Gratis; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Clifford "Buck" Purvis of Morehead, Ky.; and two sisters, Francis Howard of Florida and Eldiva Kearns of Bowling Green, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Raymond, Milborn and Willard Purvis; and two sisters, Mary Olive Perry and Lovel Swim. A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton. John Swint, pastor, has been asked to officiate.

Services for Marvin Razor, 55, of 1907 E. Lyon St., who died of lung cancer Wednesday at his home, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Evangelical Covenant Church. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. Razor was a lifelong resident of Des Moines and was a remodeling contractor and a member of Evangelical Covenant Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sherryl; two sons, Christopher and Todd, both at home; two sisters, Mary Jimenez of Los Angeles, Calif., and Evelyn Heidt of San Antonia, Texas; and four brothers, Al of Collins, Richard of Portland, Ore., Ed of Clinton, and Robert of Des Moiens.

7177 Mary "Mildred" Blankenship, 91, of Keokuk, passed away at 3:55 AM Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Unity Point Health of Keokuk.

Mildred was born October 9, 1925, in Bloomfield, Iowa, the daughter of Lem and Grace V. Hedges Tallman. After graduation she attended Culver-Stockton College where she received her teaching certificate. Mildred was united in marriage to Vencil C. Blankenship on April 18, 1944. Shortly after their marriage she and Vencil moved to Keokuk where they raised their family on the farm at Peters Dairy. In addition to church Mildred and Vencil enjoyed going to the races, playing cards with friends and were first class mushroom hunters. After over 49 years of happy marriage Vencil passed away June 28, 1993. Mildred had worked many years at Woolworths before retiring from there. She enjoyed sewing, reading and made many crafts. Mildred was a member of the First Christian Church for over 65 years.

Mildred is survived by two sons, Lem (Bobbie) Blankenship, Gordon (Linda) Blankenship, both of Keokuk and one daughter, Virginia Mae Gruell of Plymouth, IN., seven grandchildren; Troy Blankenship of Quincy, IL., Christopher Loring of Keokuk, IA., Jody Foreman of North Liberty, IA., Gina Kester of Greenville, IL., Gordon Blankenship, Jr. of Tennessee, IL., Tony Loring of Plymouth, IN., and Larry Loring Jr., of Cataula, GA., and several great and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a son-in-law Gene Gruell, a granddaughter Tari Hanson and two great grandsons.

Memorial service will be held at First Christian Church with Gordon Blankenship Jr., and Dave Turner officiating on October 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM with a dinner following. A private burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church.

7181 Mary B. (Gardner) Donelson, 86 of Riverton, died on Friday, Oct. 22, 2010 at the Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton.

Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton. The Rev. Ed Murray will officiate.

Mary Belle Gardner was born in Riverton on March 23, 1924, to Mary and Jess Gardner. Her family lived on Riverview and later at Arapahoe and Morton, before returning to Riverton where her father built Riverton's first livestock auction. She was graduated from Riverton High School in 1940 and attended the University of Wyoming.

She and Richard "Dick" Donelson were married in 1942. They lived in Texas, Georgia, and Florida while Mr. Donelson was in the Army Air Corps. In 1945, Mrs. Donelson moved back to Riverton.

Following the end of WWII, Mr. and Mrs. Donelson farmed in the Buckhorn Flats community for many years. They retired in 1988 and moved into Riverton.

Mr. and Mrs. Donelson were actively involved in conservation work on both a local and regional level and traveled extensively to National Association of Conservation Districts meetings.

Mrs. Donelson was active as a 4-H leader for many years and volunteered at 4-H camps and Fremont County and Wyoming State Fairs. In 1969, she was chosen as the Riverton Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Woman of the Year.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a long-time member of the Buckhorn Flats Extension Club, Order of the Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, and a life-time member of the VFW Auxiliary.

In their retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Donelson traveled extensively throughout the continental U.S., and to Hawaii and China.

Their family said they enjoyed boating, camping, horseback riding and spending time with family. In addition, Mrs. Donelson was described as an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed gardening and reading. In her later year, she became computer literate and worked extensively with genealogy.

Mrs. Donelson is survived by her sons, Mike and his wife Charlotte of Riverton, and Bill of Centennial, Colo.; daughter, Shirley Donelson of Riverton; granddaughter, Stacey Donelson and her husband Rob Underwood and great grandson Owen Donelson Underwood of Boulder, Colo.; grandson, Eric Donelson, his wife Heidi and great granddaughters Hailey Grace and Morgan Belle of Riverton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and the family of Jim Fike Sr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her mother and father; her brothers, Gerald "Jake" Gardner and his wife Verna Gardner, and Gene Gardner and his wife Louise Mazet Gardner, and by her fiancé, Jim Fike Sr.

7183 Mary Cassity, daughter of Armstrong and Ruth Anne Cassity, was born in Bath County, Ky., Nov. 5, 1833, came with her parents to Linn Co., Mo. in 1851, being one of the early pioneer families of Linn county. She was united in marriage with George Ross March 27, 1869, living on their farm 3 1/2 miles southeast of Browning until Nov. 29, 1910 when on account of her feeble health they moved to their present home in Browning where she died December 7, 1916, aged 83 years, 1 month and two days.
She confessed her faith in her Savior and obeyed Him in His holy ordinances, becoming a member of the Church of Christ at Enterprise, Mo. in 1859. She was a faithful communicant and worked in the vineyard of her Lord and Master and died in an abiding hope and full assurance of faith in a glorious resurrection.
She leaves to mourn her death, her beloved husband, two brothers, William and Trumbo Cassity; four sisters, Mrs. Minerva Hawkins, Mrs. Elizabeth Hayes, Mrs. American Moore and Mrs. Amanda Smith. A brother, Alvin Cassity and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Jenkins have preceded her to the spirit world.
Funeral services were conducted at the Christian church by Mr. B.D. Bolling Saturday at 11 o’clock after which her body was interred in the beautiful Jenkins cemetery to await the resurrection morn. Mr. Ross and relatives have the sympathy of all in their hours of grief.

Riverton – Funeral services for Mary E. Gardner, 98, will be held today at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Riverton with the Rev. Barry Tagart officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Gardner died May 18, 1997, at Wind River Healthcare in Riverton.
She was born April 24, 1899, in Saratoga, the daughter of Lua Otis Kelly and Margaret (Mauk) Kelly. They spent a short time in Fort Steele before moving to Kaycee and then to Riverton by covered wagon when she was 12 years old.
Her grandparents and parents had come to the Wyoming Territory in the late 1870s and early 1880s, settling in the Saratoga and Dixon areas. She attended school at Kaycee, at Delfelder rural school in Fremont County and completed the 11th grade at Riverton High School in 1915.
She married Jess Lee Gardner on Dec. 22, 1917, in Riverton. They spent the remainder of that winter in a walled tent on Union Pass, while Mr. Gardner worked timber.
After World War I, they farmed in the Arapahoe and Morton area until 1938 when they moved to Riverton.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Riverton.
She was a homemaker and worked in ladies ready-to-wear at the J.M. McDonald Company.
She enjoyed crocheting and continued with the craft until just before her death. She also enjoyed other crafts and loved to visit with family and friends.
She was a 70-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a 61-year member of the Fremont County Extension Homemakers Council and a 59-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She also belonged to the Historical Society, Rebekahs and was a charter member of the Riverview Extension Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Donelson of Riverton; two daughters-in-law, Verna and Louise Gardner of Arizona; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a sister, Stella Gardner of Riverton; a sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 18, 1957, three sons, Jess Lee Jr., Eugene and Gerald Gardner; a son-in-law and three brothers, Bert, Earl and Glenn Kelly.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

She was a teacher.
She was born April 10, 1911, in Purdin, Mo., to Lilburn Price Gilmer and Lola Street.
She married M.W. “Wayne” Bagley in Purdin. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1974.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Peggy Bagley of Carbondale, seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bertie Schweizer on Sept. 28, 1973 and her brother, Price “Bud” Gilmer.

Mrs. Mary Belle Gilkison, 73, 221 E. Ninth, died today at Ball Hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Gilkison was born in Morehead, Ky., and had been a Muncie resident since 1943. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are her husband Russell; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne Day and Mrs. James Storie, Muncie, and Mrs. Carl Basham, Wheeling, W.Va.; three sons, Ottis H, Otto H., and Elwood E., all of Muncie; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Verna Hetlsley, Libertyville, Ill., Mrs. Elsie Cybul, Mt. 7192 Mary J. Seals was born in Bumont county Ohio October 10th 1842, and died at her home three miles southeast of Milan Aug. 16th 1903 aged 60 years and ten months. When but eight years of age, moved with her parents to West Virginia. She was united in marriage to I.M. Seals January 6th 1866. To this union were born nine children.
She was converted in early life and was a member of the M.E. church over forty years. She has an affectionate wife, a kind mother and was loved and respected by all who know here. She leaves a husband, five children and a host of friends to mourn their loss. The funeral services were conducted in the Sullivan church by Rev. J.S. Howard after which the remains were laid to rest in the Shatto cemetery.

7193 Mary Jane Cassity was born in Platt county, Missouri, November 2d, 1861, died in Holton, Kansas, May 11, 1903, aged 42 years, 6 months, 19 days. She came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Knoll to Kansas, in 1862. She spent her girlhood days six miles north of Holton where her father and sisters still reside. She joined the Evangelical church when thirteen years of age. On Nov. 28, 1893 she was united in marriage with W. J. Cassity. Their union was blessed with four children two girls and two boys the youngest of which is but four months old. Mrs. Cassity was sick but a few days .... interred in the Holton cemetery.

7194 Mary L. (Kissick) Bell, 86, of New Castle, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday morning in Glen Oaks Health Campus following a long illness.

She was born November 6, 1922 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Stanley and Yantis (Ramey) Kissick.

Mary was a dedicated, loving wife and mother. She spent her entire life helping her family and friends. Before her illness she attended the Bible Holiness Church. In previous years she was a member of the Wesleyan Church in New Castle where she was known to the teenagers as "Grandma Giggles."

Mary and the late Walter H. Bell were married November 9, 1940. She lost Walter to cancer in 1989.

She is survived by three sons, Walter (wife: Carole) Bell Jr. of Anderson, Rev. Ronald (wife: Tommie) Bell of Anderson, Rev. Michael (wife: Teresa) Bell of Evansville; two daughters, Mary (husband: Ray) Price of Greensboro and Carolyn (husband: Earl) Thrasher of Brunswick, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Juanita Hacker of New Castle; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Walter H. Bell; two brothers, Earl and Eugene Kissick; three sisters, Irene Kissick, Pauline "Peachie" Sparks and Marie Bise.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Sproles Family Funeral Home with the Revs. David Gilbert, John Thompson, and Ronald Bell officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.

Friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband and father to their son, Norman E. Richards, her second husband, Hubert W. Green; father, Arthur Blanton; mother Marie Daniels; stepmother Linnie Mae Blanton.
She is survived by her son, James E. Richards (Vickie); stepsons, H. Wayne Green Jr. (Jeannie), Gene E. Green MC (Shawn James); stepdaughter, Danette A. Reca; grandsons, Timothy Green (Ashley), Christian Green (Miranda); granddaughters, Lauren Nicholson and Lindsey Reca; great grandson Adron Green.
Mary was a member of the ABWA, a charter member of the Eastern Star at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, member of Hampton Roads Bowling Association, member of the Red Hat Association, enjoyed Square Dancing at Langley Air Force Base and was a season ticket holder to the Peninsula Community Theater. After living at Fort Monroe and in the Riverdale community, she spent the last 10 years of her life living at the Chapman Apartments, in the Peninsula Town Center.
The family will receive friends at Parklawn-Wood Funeral home on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home with Reverend David Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Mary Lucy (SHAFFER) DAULTON MASTER, 72, died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday at the Rochester nursing home, where she had been a patient since May 18. She had been bedfast since October, 1954. All of her life had been spent in Rochester and vicinity.
The daughter of John and Clara (FULTZ) SHAFFER, she was born Jan. 2, 1883, in Rochester. Her first marriage was in 1902 to Charles DAULTON. In 1936, she was wed to John MASTER of this city. Mrs. Master was a member of the Christian church, the World War II Mothers, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Townsend Club.
Survivors are the husband, at home, 617 Madison street; two daughters, Mrs. Goldie SWAIN of South Bend and Mrs. Velma VIGUS of Houston, Texas; five sons, Joe [DAULTON] of South Bend; Ben, Dale, Glen and Wayne [DAULTON], all of Rochester; one sister, Mrs. Margaret CLAY of South Bend; twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Rochester Christian church with the pastor, the Rev. James KIMSEY, officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery.

7197 Mary Magdalene Crouch Border, 94, of Conover, was a daughter to the late Charles Clark Crouch, Sr. and Susan Blanche Orrick Crouch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack M. Border, Sr.; grandson; great-grandson; seven brothers and seven sisters.
Mary was a member of Healing Springs Church in Hickory and a former member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in DeKalb, IL. She was very active in her church and loved crocheting, quilting, sewing and spending time with her family.
Interment in Conover City Cemetery.

Lifelong Local Resident Succumbs After Illness of Three Weeks
Mrs. Mary Ellen Neblock, 63, a lifelong resident of Streator, died at 10:15 a.m. today at St. Mary’s hospital, after an illness of three weeks. She resided at 811 South Monroe Street.
Surviving are her husband, John Neblock, to whom she was married July 26, 1917, in Streator, and two sons, Robert and William Neblock of this city. A son, Edward, was killed in Italy in World War II.
Also surviving are a brother, Edward Barnwell, and two sisters, Mrs. Frances Stewart and Catherine Bryant of Streator. Two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Durham and Mrs. Henrietta Rush, preceded her in death.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Barnwell, she was born in Streator Dec. 25, 1890, and it was here she spent her entire life. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception church and the Altar Society.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Solon funeral home, and at 9 at the Immaculate Conception church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the rosary will be said at 8 o’clock the same evening.

Born in Rowan County, Ky., she was a member of Mount Summit Christian Church, Harvesters Sunday School Class, McGiddon Club, Henry County Hospital Guild, Mount Summit Women’s Club and member and president of Christian Women’s Fellowship.
Surviving are her husband, J. Ernest; three daughters, Edith (Mrs. Ted) Moore, Morehead, Ky., Grave (Mrs. Sam) Thompson, Sebring, Fla., and Vada (Mrs. Marvin) Collins, Mount Summit; a sister, Olive Lindamood, Miamisburg, Ohio; a brother, Emmitt Atchison, New Castle, 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Three sons, two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Main & Frame Blue River Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ed Clark and Rev. Richard Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Mount Summit Cemetery.
