| 8454 | Medford Man Dies In Crash Medford, Ore. (AP) – Jay W. Fieseler, 21, Medford, was killed Sunday in a collision on Oregon 238 just west of Medford. Fieseler was a passenger in a car driven by Robert A. McReynolds, 24, Medford, who was reported in critical condition at a Medford hospital. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies said nine witnesses told them the McReynolds car was passing other vehicles on the right side of a two-lane highway when it veered out of control into the path of an eastbound pickup. The drive of the pickup, Charlie Schutz, 62, Jacksonville, and his wife, Elizabeth, were treated at a nearby hospital and released. Statesman Journal, Salem, Oregon. | 8457 | Melinda Sue Wahl, at age 79, departed her earthly home on March 15, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital with family at her side. She was born in New Castle, IN on May 31, 1941 to her parents William M. and Mary E. (Moody) Caldwell, who have preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert A. Wahl, whom she married on April 8, 1961 and were planning on celebrating their 60th Anniversary on Sanibel Island, Florida, where they vacationed nearly yearly. Their extended family was planning on joining them for a group celebration. The extended family, who she loved beyond belief – and all named Wahl are: Sons: Robert Scott (Carolyn Kerkhof) -Cicero, IN, Brian Christopher (Melanie Wells) -Zionsville, IN, and Bradley Alexander (Kate Crawford) – Riverside, IL. Grandchildren: Scotts’- Andrew (Lauren Bailey), Alex, Max, and Sam. Brians'-Luke, Blake, and Nick. Brads’- Connor, Erin, and Brady; great-grandson: Andrew and Lauréns – Christian Scott. She is also survived by a brother, George Caldwell (Susan Long) from New Castle, IN. In addition, she has countless nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and extended family members. She was a 1959 Graduate of Walter P. Chrysler High School in New Castle, attended Butler University and was a licensed Cosmetologist. She retired from Eli Lilly and Company in 2001 after working in their Elizabeth Arden Salon and their Marketing Department. She was an accomplished pianist and a fantastic self-taught watercolor artist. She created a painting each year that was used for their Christmas card, and many copies are on display each year in many homes of family and friends. She was a devoted wife, a fantastic mother, and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother – her family was the most important thing in her life. He was born on March 16, 1923 in Belle Rive, IL, a son of the late Charles and Susan Blanche (Orrick) Crouch. Cub was employed by Midwest Contractors for 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Aurora; son, Michael (Christine) Crouch of Yorkville, daughter, Sue (Joseph) Takats of Reading, PA and son, Martin Crouch of Aurora; five grandchildren, Kevin and Brian Crouch of Yorkville, Nikki (Andy) Rearich of Ephrata, PA and Sara and Jeff Takats of Reading, PA; two great grandchildren, Jake and Gwen Rearich; seven brothers and sisters, Eleanor Gregory of Bluford, IL, Elfreda Ellis of DeKalb, Mary (Jack) Border of DeKalb, Charles Crouch Jr. of Mt. Vernon, Thomas (Mary) Crouch of DeKalb, William Crouch of Sycamore and Ruthann Delaney of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. Cub was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters; and a brother. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at 10:30 AM from The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove. He was a security guard at Stoutfield Army Base for Burns International, Indianapolis. He had worked as an independent insurance agent for Penncorp. For 15 years and at Standard Grocery Stores in New Castle and Indianapolis for 32 years. He was a former member of the Blue River Optimist Club. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Rutherford Kissick; a daughter, Melanie Cummings (husband: Jim); three sons, Larry Kissick, Brian Kissick (wife: Teri) and Gregg Kissick (wife: Lora; a brother, Gerald Kissick (wife: Violet), two sisters, Alberta Lowe (husband: Clyde) and Janet Cross; his stepmother, Neva Kissick, and 10 grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister are deceased. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service. Burial will be in Mount Summit Cemetery.
