Notes - Bessie E. Carrier
Bessie Ellen Carrier, 75, Grandview, died Feb. 5, 1994, at Research Belton Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Newcomer’s Longview Chapel; burial in Longview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel. Mrs. Carrier was born in Jackson County, Kan., and moved to this area 30 years ago. She worked in the Grandview High School cafeteria for 15 years, retiring as manager in 1979. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Muscotah, Kan. She was a member of the Grandview (Mo.) United Methodist Church. She was a Women’s Army Corps veterans of World War II. Survivors include her husband, Louis M. Carrier Sr. of the home; three sons, Louis M. Carrier J., Huntington Beach, Calif., Larry L. Carrier, Grandview, and W. Joe Carrier, Lee’s Summit; two daughters, Edith M. Mayer and Mary Beth Brooks of Littleton, Colo.; and 10 grandchildren.
