- Adams services set
RIVERTON – Services for Mrs. Alta Belle Adams, 74, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Davis Funeral Home.
The Rev. J. Holland Vernon of the United Methodist church will officiate.
Mrs. Adams died Saturday at Fremont Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 4, 1904, at Browning, Mo., and came to Riverton in 1909, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gardner.
On Aug. 15, 1925, she married Delbert Adams in Riverton. They lived at the Pilot Butte Power Plant at Morton until 1939, and then moved to Pavillion where they lived until 1952, and later at Boysen Dam until 1956. They lived at Riverview until 1972, and following the death of her husband that year, she moved into Riverton where she had lived since that time.
She was a member of the Methodist W.S.C.S., Order of the Eastern Star, Riverview Women's club, World War I Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 61. Mrs. Adams was a past president of the auxiliary.
Survivors are two sons, Delbert of Fort Smith, Mont., and Charles of Hawthorne, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Goldie Farrens of Riverton and Mrs. Leona Klotz of New Richland, Minn.; one brother, Earl Gardner of Kinnear; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery with graveside rites by the Order of Eastern Star.
