    • Bert Fredrick Gilkison
      Middletown, Ind. – Bert Fredrick Gilkison, 87, died Saturday in Miller’s Merry Manor. He was the brother of Maude Ferguson of Muncie.
      Mr. Gilkison was born near Morehead, Ky., and had lived earlier in the Portland, Ridgeville and Bryant areas.
      He was retired from farming and had also worked for Chrysler Corp. and Chevrolet. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Portland.
      Survivors include three sons, a daughter, 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
      Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Ballard and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, east of Middletown.
      Calling is 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
      Memorial may be made to American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, Ga. 30329, or through the funeral home.
