- Marysville Rt.4 Resident Dies In Detroit, Michigan
Funeral services were held July 10 for William B. Sperry, 78, of Marysville, Rt.4. Mr. Sperry died in a Detroit, Mich., hospital July 7, after an extended illness. A farmer, he had lived in the Marysville area for 18 years.
Born Feb. 9, 1887, in Lawrence County, he was the son of the late John and Margaret (Kenny) Sperry. He lived in Greenup, Ky., before moving to Marysville.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Melua (Ramey) Sperry; three sons, James C. of Dayton, Ashur B. of South Shore, Dee, of Marysville; nine daughters, Mrs. Daniel Miller of Winchester, Mrs. Luther Miller of Lincoln Park, Mich., Mrs. Cecil McCann, Allen Park, Mich., Mrs. Gilkison of Portland, Ind., Mrs. Miltford Wolfe of Kehoe; Mrs. Hank Zelenski of Taylor, Mich.; Mrs. Burl Gilliam of Trenton, Mich.; Mrs. Louis Torak of Allen Park, Mich., and Mrs. Thomas Aznot, of Taylor, Mich.; 34 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.
Burial was in Michigan Memorial Cemetery.
