- Fairmount, Ill. - Cena L. Hickman, 85, of Fairmount, died at 6 p.m. Sunday (April. 17, 1988) at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman. She was born Oct. 24, 1902,
in Vermilion County, a daughter of William and Addie Cox Gilkison. She married Wilfred Hickman on Oct. 5, 1922. He died May 27, 1964. Survivors include: three daughters, Janet Cox Hickman of Rochester, N.Y., Wilma Kupfer of Euclid, Ohio; and Carol Hinners of East Troy, Wis.; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandson; three sisters, Miriam Hickman and Iris Davis, both of Catlin, and Dorothy Thielking of Crofton, Md. She also was preceded in death by two brothers. Mrs. Hickman was a 40-year member of the United Presbyterian Church in Fairmount and a former member of OES. She had worked as a secretary for the Fairmount Grade School and was the correspondent for the COMMERCIAL-NEWS for several years. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Carrington Funeral Home in Fairmount, with Chaplain Jim Burrell officiating. Friends will be received after 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial: Mount Vernon Cemetery. Memorials: Pearl S.
