    • Sanford L. Gilkison
      Catlin, Ill. - Sanford L. Gilkison, 83, of Catlin, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday (Dec.12, 1987) at his home.
      He was born July 11, 1904, in Carroll Township, son of William and Addie Cox Gilkison. He married Mary Celia Bedinger Dec. 25, 1929. She survives. He was a retired farmer in Catlin-Fairmount area. Survivors: three sons, Raymond of Oakwood, John of St. Joseph, Jerry of Erie, Colo.; 17 grandchildren, 15 great0grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Cena Hickman of Chrisman, Iris Davis and Miriam Hickman, both of Catlin, Dorothy Thielking of Maryland. He was preceded by two sons and a brother.
      He was a member of Catlin Church of Christ, where services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday; Officiating: Tony Thomas; Burial: Mount Vernon Cemetery. Visitation: 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Carrington Funeral Home. Fairmount. Body will be taken to church one hour before service.
