      Flemingsburg, March 26 – Melvin Howard Gardner, 67, of Wallingford Route 2, died at 5:30 a.m. today at his home.
      Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Addie Caskey Gardner; six daughters, Mrs. Mary Hedges, Charlestown, Ind.; Mrs. Sadie Saunders, Jeffersonville, Ind.; Mrs. Hazel Jackson, Flemingsburg; Mrs. Ruth Conley, Flemingsburg Route 1; Mrs. Helen Conley and Mrs. John Farris, Plummers Landing; a brother, Jim Gardner, Fleming county; two sisters, Mrs. Omer Gulley, Mayslick, and Mrs. Zella Marshall, Flemingsburg; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
      Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Goddard Methodist Church by the Rev. Owen Cooper. Burial will be in the Goddard Cemetery. The body is at the Boone Funeral Home.
      The Lexington Herald, Lexington, Kentucky. Wednesday, 27 March 1963.
