Notes - John E. Cavanee
Magna – John (Jack) Edward Cavanee, 70, retired engineer for the Bingham-Garfield Railroad, died Tuesday evening at his home 2970 S. 8750 West, of a heart ailment.
Born Jan. 11, 1884, in Milan, Mo., son of William E. and Vesta Cassity Cavanee; married Bridgie O’Connor on Feb. 24, 1914, in Salt Lake City.
Member Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers, road foreman of engines for Kennecott Copper Corp, before his retirement in 1949.
Survivors, Widow; three sons, Dennis, Hunter, and W.M. (Bill), Magna; one sister, Mrs. Ella Quinlan, Lyons, Kan.; one brother, Wayne Q. Cavanee, San Pedro, Calif., and five grandchildren.
