Notes - C.W. Buckman
C.W. “Bill” Buckman, 61, of 1100 Carol Drive, died Thursday morning at his home following a lengthy illness.
Born at Linneus, Mo., he had resided in the Brookfield, Mo., area before moving to St. Joseph 30 years ago. He was the son of the late Manley and Opal Bagley Buckman.
He had retired six years ago as secretary-treasurer of Teamsters Local No.460 after 18 years of service.
A member of the East Hills Church of Christ and King Hill Lodge No.276, A.F.&A.M., he was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Marge Buckman, of the home, a daughter, Cheryl Ann George, St. Joseph; a brother, Donald M. Buckman, Denver, Colo.; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Meierhoffer-Fleeman funeral home where service arrangements are pending.
