Notes - Norman E. Woodside, 79, Purdin, died Friday at Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center. He was born Oct. 15, 1914 in Linn County, son of Jesse and Leanna (Jenkins) Woodside. He and Vivian Britton were married Feb. 14, 1937.
She survives, of the home; also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Pat Woodside, Peculiar, and Rick and Teresa Woodside, Laclede; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Paul Stroud, Laclede, Linda and Tom King, Milan, and Norma Lea and Kenny Jenkins, Laclede; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Marlin and Vera Woodside, Purdin; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marjorie and Nelson Britton, Purdin, and Dorothy and Otto Hollon, Milan, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Woodside was a retired farmer and a member of Bear Branch United Methodist Church.
Services were held 2 p.m. Monday, at the church, with the "Rev. Billy Wayne Hines officiating. Burial was at Purdin Cemetery. Arrangements were by Wright Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the church.
