    • Charles Petty
      Charles Petty of Crescent City died at the Livermore Veterans’ Hospital Monday after a prolonged illness. Thirty-six years of age, he was born in Wyoming.
      For the past two years a fifth-grade instructor at the Bess Maxwell school, he was a member of the Crescent City Knights of Columbus and had served as committeeman for the local cub scouts. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
      He is survived by his wife, Mildred, of Crescent City; three children, Mike, Chuck and Bob; his Barents, Mr. and Mrs. James L. Petty of Topeka, Kans.; two brothers, Bernard J. Petty of Orlando, Fla., and Earl W. Petty of Buffalo, N.Y.; one sister, Sister James Clare of the Sisters of Charity, Denver, Colo.
      Eureka Humboldt Standard, Eureka, California. Wednesday, 17 December 1958.
