- Ballard V. Perry Dies Suddenly At Home
Ballard V. Perry, 63 years old, treasurer of the East Tenth Street M.E. Church, died yesterday at his home, 1025 North Jefferson avenue. Mr. Perry, who was a mason contractor, had been a resident of Indianapolis for thirty years, having come to this city from Anderson. When he retired Monday night he apparently was in good health, but is believed to have succumbed to a heart attack during the night. He was found dead in bed by a grandson, David W. Hedges, Jr.
Mr. Perry was active in church and civic affairs. Mrs. Perry was spending the summer at the Perry cottage being notified of the death, came to this city.
In addition to the widow, he leaves three sons, Glenn A. Perry, B.L. Perry and Paul H. Perry; a daughter Phyllis Perry, and seven grandchildren, David Hedges Jr., Martha, Margaret and Katherine Hedges, and Dorothy Allen, Virginia May and Betty jane Perry.
Mr. Perry was in the mason contracting business by himself at the time of his death. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery.
