      Darla Dee Hedges was born on August 23, 1932 in Mechanicsville, IA and passed away on September 26, 2016 in Plano, TX. Darla is preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Amber Jackson; husband, Alvin Duane Hedges and sister, Dell Raven. Darla is survived by sons Dirk and Dane Hedges; daughter, Diane B. Clark; five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Darla graduated from the University of Iowa in 1953 with a bachelors in Home Economics. She loved singing and Bingo and loved to travel. Darla was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Richardson, where she sung in the Goldenaire Choir.
