    • Mrs. Phoebe Gaines
      Vanceburg, July 11 – Mrs. Phoebe Ann Dodd Gaines, 72, who leaves many relatives in Mason and Lewis counties, died Friday of complication at her home here. She had lived alone since the death of her husband five years ago.
      Surviving are three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Charles Claypoole of Mayslick, Mrs. Charles Kirk of Cincinnati, Mrs. Vernon Dean of Warsaw, Ky., Estil Gaines of Plummers Landing and Irving Gaines of Chicago.
