- Mrs. Jennette Schrock
Jennette Frances Schrock, daughter of Thomas and Mary Ann Gibson, was born near Browning, Missouri, October 29, 1860 and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clora Cassity, near Purdin, Missouri, March 6, 1942, at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 7 days.
September 2, 1883, she was united in marriage to Sampson D. Schrock. Two children were born to this union, Clora Cassity, who survives, and Curtis A. Schrock, who passed away January 20, 1933. Her husband preceded her in death November 6, 1918.
Some twenty-five years ago Mrs. Schrock united with the Church of Christ in Purdin and remained a faithful worker as long as her health permitted.
Besides the one daughter, with whom she had made her home for the past three years, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. W.P. Broaddus, Chillicothe, Missouri; two brothers, W.L. Gibson, Toppenish, Washington and John Gibson, Denver, Colorado, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted from the home, west of Purdin, March 8, 1942, at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. H.R. Tate, pastor of the Methodist church in Browning. Burial was made in the Purdin cemetery. The pall bearers were: John Bumgarner, Walter McIntre, Alec Murrain, J.S. Purdin, Churchill Urback and Murphy Elliott.
