Notes - Mrs. Geo. R. Bumgarner Dies Saturday; Funeral Services Held Today
Mrs. George R. Bumgarner, who has been in real estate business in this vicinity for the past 31 years, died Saturday afternoon. A Christian Science service was held from the Hill Funeral Home today at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Bumgarner, daughter of Adele Alice and Breckenridge Presley Pound, was born in Purdin on November 20, 1981. She was married to George R. Bumgarner in Linneus on Nov. 24, 1909.
She is survived by her husband of the home, two sons, James Edward Bumgarner and Glen Allen Bumgarner, both of Brookfield; two sisters, Mrs. Ebb Dennis of Chula and Mrs. Nellie Hutchinson of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, the Rev. James Presley Pound of Kerville, Tex.; one grandson, Larry Gene Bumgarner of Brookfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bumgarner was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, in Brookfield. She had lived here for the past 35 years. She was a member of the Local, State, and National Association of Real Estate Boards.
