Raleigh ran a store and does painting and selling barber supplies.
[1] - Raleigh Cassity Dies; Funeral Is Held at Purdin
Funeral services for Raleigh D. Cassity, 86, Purdin, who died Nov. 15 in Brookfield, were held Nov. 17 at the Purdin Church of Christ. Burial was in the Purdin Cemetery.
Mr. Cassity and his wife, the former Pearl McCune, Clark, are long time residents of Purdin, first moving there soon after their marriage in 1908, to work as teachers at the public school.
Mr. Cassity operated a café there for several years and later was in charge of a grocery and meat market.
He was a member of the Purdin Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, several nieces and nephews.
