    • Mary J. Seals was born in Bumont county Ohio October 10th 1842, and died at her home three miles southeast of Milan Aug. 16th 1903 aged 60 years and ten months. When but eight years of age, moved with her parents to West Virginia. She was united in marriage to I.M. Seals January 6th 1866. To this union were born nine children.
      She was converted in early life and was a member of the M.E. church over forty years. She has an affectionate wife, a kind mother and was loved and respected by all who know here. She leaves a husband, five children and a host of friends to mourn their loss. The funeral services were conducted in the Sullivan church by Rev. J.S. Howard after which the remains were laid to rest in the Shatto cemetery.
