Notes - Ralph H. Curtis, 80, Ralph H. Curtis, 80, died Thursday in Ball Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Curtis, who was born in Russell, Ky., had lived in the Muncie area since 1942. He retired in 1979 after 36 years at Ball Corp. He also was an inventor who held a patent for an alarm system.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Era Curtis; two brothers, Floyd Curtis, Marion, Ohio, and Dennie Curtis, Hartford City; two sisters, Rhella Blevins, Caldonia, Ohio, and Ginger Avery (husband; Vernon), Ridgecrest, Calif; two sisters-in-law, Louise Curtis and Ruth Curtis, both of Muncie, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
His parents, Raymond and Minnie Curtis; a son, Walfred Phillips Curtis; three brothers, Mitchell Curtis, Rev. Samuel C. Curtis and James T. Curtis, and a sister, Carla Jenkins, are deceased.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Parson Mortuary. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Called will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
