Notes - W.P. Norris Dies At Perry
Perry, Mo., June 2 - William P. Norris, 78, meat market operator at Perry for years, died at 2:30 o'clock this morning in his home here.
Born near Perry, a son of the late Henry and Matilda Jane Hopkins Norris, he spent his entire life in this vicinity with the exception of a few years as a child when he lived in Kentucky. In 1881 he was married to Miss Anna Marie Wells, who died nine years ago. Surviving are two children: H.O. Norris and Mrs. Alta Gauldin, both of Perry. Mr. Norris retired six years ago after operating his business here for years. He was a member of the Perry Christian church. Mr. Norris was affiliated with the Modern Woodmen of America.
With the pastor, the Rev. John W. Golden, conducting the services, the funeral will be held at Perry Christian church at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon and interment will be at Perry. The Rev. J.B. Powell, Christian minister, and the Rev. Dawson, Baptist minister, will assist in the service.
