    • Wilbur Gooch was born in Linn county, Missouri, Oct. 13, 1859, and died at the local hospital, December 3, 1924, aged sixty-five years, one month and twenty days. He resided on a farm near North Salem, this county, until four years ago, when he came to Brookfield, where he has since lived. He leaves to mourn, the wife, one son and three daughters: Lee Gooch, of near North Salem; Mrs. Mary E. Jones, Mrs. Agnes Sturtevant and Mrs. Irene Vroom, all living north of Brookfield; four brothers and three sisters: J. H. Gooch, of Chicago; Joseph Gooch, of San Francisco, California; John Gooch, of LaPlata, and George Gooch of Browning; Mrs. Ida Purdin, of Purdin, Missouri, Eva Biswell of Browning, and Helen Gable of Kansas City. The funeral will take place from the residence 1126 North Main street, Friday, December 5, 1924, at one p.m., Rev. B.F. Hill officiating, and the burial under the direction of C.W. Hill will be made in the Rose Hill cemetery.
