- Charles Alfred Helms
Charles Alfred Helms, son of Hiram and Martha Helms, was born July 1, 1879, and passed away at his home near New Boston, Missouri, April 10, 1940, at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 9 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Pearl King of Winigam, Missouri, April 19, 1909. To this union five children were born: Mrs. Ruby Yochim of New Boston, Missouri; Earl and Carol of Brookfield, Missouri, and Curt and Ruth of the home.
His parents, a brother, Glen, and sister, Mrs. Ada Emberton, preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted wife and children, a granddaughter, Wilma Rose Yochim, three brothers, Earl of Kansas City, Missouri, Roy, of Milan, and Oscar, of Quincy, Illinois, one sister, Mrs. Emma Hoselton, of Linneus, Missouri.
Charles, as he was called, spent his entire married life in the community in which he lived and numbered his friends by his acquaintance.
Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock by the Rev. Carl Hullett. Burial in the Price cemetery.
