- Mother of Carl Helms Dies At Brookfield
Mrs. Pearlie (Pearl) Helms, 323 West John street, Brookfield, mother of Carl Helms of this city, died Wednesday at Pershing Memorial hospital, Brookfield.
Services will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Hill Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Fred Farris. Burial will be in Price cemetery near Winigan.
Mrs. Helms was the daughter of James S. and Sarah Ann (Bundies) King, and was born Oct. 20, 1886, near Browning. She was married to Charles Helms, who died April 20, 1940. They were parents of five children. She was a member of the New Boston Christian Church.
She is survived by three sons, Earl Helms, Brookfield; Curt Helms, New Boston, and Carl Helms, Chillicothe; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Ruby) Yochim and Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Bailey, New Boston; a sister, Mrs. Ivor (Neva) slater, Brookfield; a brother, Charles King, Cameron; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
