The husband, ten children twenty-one grandchildren and one sister Mrs. J.E. Hunter of Bloomfield, Iowa, are left to mourn the loss of a loved one. Her only brother Thomas Henderson, preceded her to the great beyond in March 1918. Her father died when she was a small child and her mother in 1903.

When just a young girl she accepted Christ as her Savior uniting with the Methodist church and sixteen years ago she united with the Christian church at Darby and has always been a true and loyal christian. The work of the church was a joy to here, always ready to give her time and strength. The part that was hers, in reviving the work at Darby and making a strong church there was more than she realized. A good woman has gone from our midst, but we mourn not as those without home for she trusted in the promise of a Saviour who will never forsake the faithful.
The body was brought from Boulder, Colo, to the old home near the Darby church and at 2 p.m., May 19, 1922, the funeral service was held at the Darby church in the presence of a very large assemblance. In compliance with her request, the services were conducted by J.W. Altheide of Bloomfield, Iowa, and T.A. hedges of Queen City, Mo. The body was laid to rest in the Darby cemetery.
